Padilla, 86, of Ack-ennan, died March 26, 2006 at North MS Medical Center in Eupora, MS. Mr. Padilla was born in Pintada, New Mexico to the late Juan an Amellia (Bacca) Padilla On October 25, 1919. He is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Bray of Grenada, Christine Murphy (Richard) of Ackennan and one son, Paul Padilla (Vicki) of Pascagoula, six grandchildren Robby Stovall, Chris Stovall, Josh Murphy, Ali Padilla, Seve Padilla and Lindsay Pinson, one great-granddaughter Lauren Stovall. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Ruth (Keen) Padilla, two brothers, Vidal Padilla and Julian Padilla, two sisters Juanita Garduno and Anita Zamora.

Visitation was held from 5-8 PM on March 29, 2006, and funeral services where held March 30, 2006, at 2 PM at Ackennan Baptist Church, interment was in Enon Cemetery in Ackerman. Merrill Cajun" M. Meyers, Sr, 59, of Louisville, MS, died March 26, 2006 at his Daughter's Residence near Louisville, MS. Mr. Meyers was born February 2, 1947, in New Orleans, LA, file son of the late Theodore August and Violet Cecilia Goodman Meyers. He was a Self-Employed Licensed Plumber.

He was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of the A.A.R.P, American Legion, and Disabled Veterans of America. He was a loving father and grandfather who loved life.
